Wachholz, Betty Jean (1 JUL 1972)
Betty Jean Wachholz, daughter of Mrs. Laverne Wachholz and the late Maynard
Wachholz, Spencer, and James Edward Robinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Robinson Sr., 2312 Olive St., Racine, Wis., were married at 3:00 p.m. Saturday,
July 1, 1972 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer, with the Rev. Ruhbusch
officiating.
Miss Karen Wachholz sang "O Perfect Love" and "The Lord's Prayer," with Mrs.
Arnold Stelzel at the organ.
For her wedding the bride chose a full length gown of nylon organza and Venice
lace, with matching cathedral length mantilla. She carried a crescent shaped
bouquet of yellow roses and white miniature carnations.
Mrs. James Gersich, Champaign, Ill., as matron of honor, and Mrs. Leonard
Robinson Jr. acting as bridesmaid, wore floor length yellow and white gowns with
border print skirts and matching wide brimmed hats. They carried garden baskets
of yellow roses, white miniature carnations, daisies and corn flowers.
Mr. Leonard Robinson Jr., Racine, was best man, and Mr. James Gersich,
Champaign, Ill., was groomsman.
Performing ushering duties were John Neilson and Greg Orzal, Racine.
After the ceremony, a dinner, reception and dance were held at the Village
Plaza, Spencer.
Mrs. Robinson attended Kenosha Technical Institute and her husband graduated
from Racine Technical Institute in 1970, and is employed in the Engineering
Department for the City of Racine.
After a wedding trip to Niagara Falls and Canada, the couple will make their
home at Racine..
