Jochimsen, Gail E. (9 MAR 1961 - 4 MAY 2017)

Gail E. Jochimsen, 56, of Stetsonville passed away on Thursday May 4 at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

Gail was born on March 9, 1961 in Medford to the late Wyllis “Buster” A. Jochimsen and Florina (Boehlen) Jochimsen of the Town of Little Black. She graduated from Medford High School in 1979. After high school she went on to work at Pleasant View Dairy, boxing and wrapping 40 pound blocks of cheddar cheese. She later went on to work at Tombstone Pizza for 37 years, where she worked as team leader, until her retirement in January of 2017.

In her spare time she taught second grade first communion classes at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Stetsonville for many years. She also loved to read, mostly mystery or romantic mystery, camping with her grandson in the summers, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her mother Gail is survived by her children Stephanie (Jesse) Bohn of Stetsonville, Nicole Zuleger of Stevens Point, Sadie Zuleger of Stetsonville, Lane Ruch of Medford, Stepdaughter Jaycie Ruch of Medford, Grandchildren Tyler and Silas Bohn, and step grandchild Desiray Spencer.

She is Also survived by four sisters, Karleen (Ron) Sperl, Sherry (Chuck) Anderson both of Stetsonville, Sara (Gary) Krug of Rice Lake, and Penny (Guy) Olson of Medford; five brothers, Lynn (Dianne) Jochimsen, Bryan (Melinda) Jochimsen, Jay (Jen) Jochimsen, all of Medford, Kurt (Pam) Jochimsen of Stratford, and Roy (Kathy) Jochimsen of Withee. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, god children, and many other family and friends.

In addition to her father Gail is preceded in death her sister Beth Jochimsen and great nephew Deagan Jochimsen.

A memorial mass will take place on Friday, May 12 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Michael Hayden officiating, burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday May 11 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with a rosary service at 7:00 P.M., visitation will continue on Friday May 12 from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to the family for a future designation
