Giese, Caroline (27 FEB 1881 – 28 JUN 1972)
Mrs. Caroline Giese, 91, passed away at the Memorial Hospital, Neillsville, June
28, 1972.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 30 at the United Methodist
Church, Loyal, and burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery.
The Rev. Eugene Antrim, Greenwood, officiated.
Sue and Connie Smith sang "Sweet Hour of Prayer" and "In the Garden,"
accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Ray Feldt.
Pallbearers were Harold Lemke, Roger Bender, Richard Giese, Russel Giese, Ronald
Giese, and Tim O'Malley.
She was born Caroline Bender on February 27, 1881 at Bonduel, Wisconsin, and was
married to Richard Giese at Shawano on December 25, 1909.
She was employed in a General store at Cecil before her marriage, and then
resided in Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) with her husband, who was a cheesemaker, and
retired 15 years ago.
She was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star, Matron and Past Matron, past
president of the Women's Society of Christian Service, Rebecca Club and the
United Methodist Church, Loyal.
She is survived by her husband, and two sons, Edward, Rice Lake, Wisconsin, and
Richard, Middleton, Wisconsin. Also surviving are four grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters..
