Grand Marshals of Greenwood Dairy Day Parade were Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kebl.
It was 1929 and a sixteen year old boy name Louis left Yugoslavia for Italy, a
little scared, but with great anticipation of the life of freedom in America.
He arrived in Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), where he joined his father, Frank
Kebl, and went to work for him in the shoe repair business.
In 1939 he married the former Mary Shiltz of Willard. They have two children,
Dorothy and Ralph.
Louie and Mary both like Greenwood, and it has been their home since their
marriage.
Mr. and Mrs. Kebl belong to St. Mary's Church, and Louie is a member of the
Greenwood Chamber of Commerce and Fire Department. He has belong to the Fire
Department for 30 years, and has been Fire Chief for 10 years. He also worked
hard to get the ambulance service for Greenwood and is very faithful answering
ambulance calls.
We, in Greenwood, are proud to honor Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kebl as Parade Marshals
during Dairy Days, 1972..
