Yanko, John Peter (1931? - 2 MAY 2017)

John Peter Yanko, age 86, US Navy Veteran served on the USS Richey. John was the son of Louis and Anna (Pfeiffer) Yanko. He joined his parents on May 2, 2017.

John is a former Rib Lake resident and currently resided in Chicago Ridge, IL until the time of his death. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Janet, a son Brian, and six brothers and two sisters.

He was the loving father of Debra (Gary) Parker, David (Terry), John (Jill), Paul (the late Maggie), Wayne (Janet), and Curtis (Jennifer). He is further survived by a brother Bernard of Rib Lake, sisters Beverly Subel, Muskego and Dolores Knezinek, Sussex.

He was the step father of Chris (Ben) Winkelman and Thomas Brady, cherished grandfather and great grandfather of many, fond uncle and dear friend of many.

Services were held Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Schmaedeke Funeral Home in Worth, IL.

Interment was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip, IL
