Kuntz, Marion (29 JUL 1933 – 7 MAY 2017)
Marion (Frane) Kuntz, 83, Green Bay, passed away May 7, 2017 after a long
courageous battle with COPD. Born on July 29, 1933, in Colby, WI, she is the
daughter of the late Theodore and Florence (Kniess) Frane. Marion married Wayne
Kuntz on May 5, 1954 in Colby and he preceded her in death on October 12, 2008.
She was a devoted mother of five boys. Marion had a wide assortment of careers
but mostly enjoyed working in healthcare. She devoted her life to the care of
others, especially her sister Carol Jean. Marion enjoyed traveling, sewing, and
ceramics. She loved her winters in Arizona with family along with her special
friend George Antepenko. Marion will be sorely missed, by her children,
grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is survived by her five children, Daniel (Renee) Kuntz of Green Bay, Dean
(Laura) Kuntz of Pulaski, Darrell Kuntz of Hobart, Duane (Bruce Cole) Kuntz of
Suamico, Dirk (Nanette) Kuntz of Mountain Home, Idaho; eighteen grandchildren,
Jaclyn Dexter, Rachel Kuntz, Amanda Berkshire, Casey Berkshire, Joseph Kuntz,
Christina Skalecki, Brandon Kuntz, Benjamin Kuntz, Kari Lade, Kellie Spejcher,
Krystal Kussow, John Spejcher, Darrell Kuntz, Michelle Ermis, John Kuntz, Kayla
Kuntz, Devin Kuntz, and Ryker Kuntz; eighteen great grandchildren; five
siblings, Howard (Gerrie) Frane, Glen (Sandi) Frane, Ruth (Gib) Cundy, Patricia
(Wayne) Flick, and Ronald (Linda) Frane and further survived by her little
companions Dottie and Mickey.
Marion was preceded in death by her parents; grandma Freida Kniess,
daughter-in-law, Sandra; five siblings, Virginia, Marlene, Charles, Carol, and
Joseph.
Visitation at Malcore (West) Funeral Home 1530 W. Mason St. Thursday, May 11,
from 4 PM until the time of the Wake Service at 7 PM. Visitation will continue
Friday at St. Mary's in Colby, 205 S. Second St., Colby, WI, from 10 AM until
the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 12 PM (noon). Burial at St. Mary's
Cemetery in Colby.
Mom's boys would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to those that helped her
during her final journey especially, Ron, Linda, Glen and Sandi. In addition to
the care provided by Heartland Hospice, Home Instead, and the staff of St.
Vincent's Hospital.
