Lyons, Marcelene (6 OCT 1927 – 18 JUL 1972)
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 21, at St. Mary's
Catholic Church in Neillsville for Mrs. Russell Lyons, 44, of Neillsville, who
was pronounced dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville, at 8:15 a.m.,
Tuesday. The Rev. Fr. Charles D. Brady officiated and burial took place in the
parish cemetery.
The Georgas Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lyons, the former Marcelene M. Hannan, was born October 6, 1927, in the
town of York (Clark Co., Wis.). Shew as graduated frofm the Loyal High School in
1945, and was married on June 6, 1949, at Neillsville to Russell Lyons. They had
made their home in Neillsville.
She had been employed for several years in the Physical Therapy Dept. at
Memorial Hospital. She has been in ill health the past few years.
Mrs. Lyons was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Parish Council of
Catholic Women.
Survivors include her husband, a son, Mark, Kenosha; two daughters, Marcel and
Jill, at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray J. Hannan, route 2, Loyal; four
sisters, Mrs. Howard (Dorothy) Sturtz, Neillsville; Mrs. Richard (Annette) de
Lormier, Monterey, Calif.; Mrs. William (Rita) Meyer, Marshfield, and Mrs.
Charles (Therese) Vesel, Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, James Hannan, Loyal, and
Robert Hannan, Spencer.
She was preceded in death by four infant children.
