F. J. Hauch, 65, Town of Greenwood, Dies Oct. 1 Funeral services for Friederich
Jacob Hauch, 65, of the town of Greenwood (Taylor County), who died last
Thursday afternoon, Oct. 1, were held Sunday at 12:30 from the home and at 1
p.m. from St. Peter's Lutheran church at Greenwood, with the Rev. F. Kammholz
officiating. Interment was in the adjoining church cemetery.
Mr. Hauch was born on Feb. 5, 1870 in Russia. In 1893 he was married to Paulina
Gaetschel and in 1898 they came to America, settling in the town of Greenwood in
this county, where they lived since.
Surviving the deceased are his widow, six children, 12 grandchildren, two
brothers, and two sisters. Two other children died, a daughter Hilda at the age
of 18 and a son Henry at the age of 27.
Children surviving are four daughters, Anna, now Mrs. Elmer Krueger of Wausau;
Mary, now Mrs. Henry Lundgreen of Rockford, Ill.; Rose, now Mrs. Edward Norgreen
of Rockford; and Bertha, now Mrs. George Haman, also of Rockford; and two sons,
Joseph of Rockford, and Robert at home.
Mrs. Louise Strunk of Benton Harbor, Mich., Mrs. Christina Rotenberg and John
Hauch of Canada, and Herman Hauch of Rib Lake are the sisters and brothers.
