Hills, Paul (18 JUL 1897 – 28 JUL 1972)
Paul Hills, brother of Alfred and Harold Hills of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), died
in Milwaukee July 28, 1972 at the age of 75 years. He was born in Loyal on July
18, 1897, the eldest son of William Hills and Bertha Lenling Hills. On February
28, 1926 he was married to Olga Kuhl at Neillsville. They lived at Tripoli for
three years, then moved to Globe and lived on the Kuhl farm for about two years.
Following that was a move to Loyal, and then to Milwaukee, where they resided at
708 S. 37th Street for 21 years.
Survivors, besides his wife Olga, are three children, Shirley Gray Gardine,
Milwaukee; William of Lumberton, Mississippi, and Paul of Milwaukee; four
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Gordon Coates, Almond,
Wisconsin; four brothers, Calvin of Vesper; Charles, Milwaukee; and Alfred and
Harold of Loyal.
Attending the funeral services held at the F.J. Borgwardt & Sons Funeral Home in
Milwaukee were Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hills Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Pat Duell, and Mr.
and Mrs. Harold Mills of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Hills of Vesper; Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Coates and daughter Charlotte, and Mrs. Kenneth James of Almond; Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Hills of Milwaukee, besides many relatives and friends in
Milwaukee.
Interment was in Arlington Park Cemetery, Milwaukee.
Pallbearers were nephews and grandsons, Mike Hills, Darwin Hills, Jack Hills,
Church Hills, and David Gray and Charles Yasch.
