Timothy ‘John’ Pachan Timothy J. “John” Pachan, 58, Owen, passed away on
Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, at St. Mary’s
Catholic Church in Greenwood, with Rev. Steve Brice officiating. Pallbearers
will be Kyle Pachan, Zane Pachan, Luke Schlueter, Riley Stokosa, Eric Poehnelt,
Brad Paul, Morris Magnus and David Magnus. Visitation will be held at the
church, on Wednesday, May 17, from 5-8 p.m., and again on Thursday, at the
church, from 10 a.m. until time of service. A Celebration of Life will be held
at the Blue Mirror in Greenwood, beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will take place
in Most Precious Blood Catholic Cemetery in New London at a later date.
Timothy John Pachan was born on Oct. 3, 1958, in Browerville, Minn., to John A.
and Mary Louise (nee Oase) Pachan. The youngest of six children, John was raised
and received his education near Clarissa, Minn., graduating from Clarissa High
School in 1976. He then attended North Dakota State University, where he
graduated in 1980 with a bachelor's degree in agriculture. John worked for FmHA
in Hillsboro, Cavalier and Langdon, N.D. He met and married Holly R. Magnus on
Nov. 30, 1985, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Langdon. John then worked in
liquidation with FDIC in Eagan, Minn. He also worked with Farm Credit in
Wisconsin before coming to Greenwood and working as a loan officer at Citizens
State Bank and then at Mid-Wisconsin Bank in Neillsville. John left the banking
industry and went to work at Liberty Homes in Dorchester, and then to Manpower.
He was currently employed at Wakefield Industries in Withee. John had many
interests, but especially loved to tinker, attend auctions, gardening, movies
and music, was an avid reader, and enjoyed Suduko and making macramé chairs.
When he and his wife got the chance, they enjoyed fishing and traveling.
John is survived by his loving wife, Holly, of Owen; his three children: Tara
(Lance) Pachan, Kyle Pachan, and Zane (Jeremy) Pachan, all of Manawa; one
granddaughter: Autumn Pachan of Manawa; his five sisters: Linda (Steve) Gjerstad
of Eagle Bend, Minn., Janie (Michael) Floyd of Cumming, Ga., Judy Babler of
Avon, Minn., Donna (Ed) Benning of Avon, Minn., and Mary Burns of Avon, Minn.;
and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother-in-law, Bob Babler.
