----Moon, Edith (1883? – 11 May 1908)
Mrs. Henry Moon
Mrs. Henry Moon, a young woman of twenty five years, who lived two miles east of town, took her own life last Wednesday morning by shooting herself in the right temple with a pistol. It is thought she was insane at the time as she was subject to what seemed to be insane fits of anger. She had quarreled with her husband the night before and that morning objected to his going to work. After he left the house he heard a shot and returned to to find her lying insensible on the floor. As soon as he opened the door and saw her he called to a near neighbor who was outside. Dr. Soles was called at once but she lived only a few hours.
The funeral was held at the M. E. church Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Moon was formerly Miss Edith Dickenson of Spencer and leaves besides her husband, a mother and father, two sisters and three brothers.
Note: The name "Edith" did not appear in the original article. She was simply referred to as Mrs. Henry Moon.
