Milan Resident Honored On Birthday Anniversary
Members of the Women’s Guild of St. John’s Evangelical and Reform Church with several invited friends dropped in on Mrs. John Haderlein with baskets of good things to eat and two freezers of home made ice cream to remind her that Jan. 28th was her 60th birthday anniversary. The afternoon was spent in recalling old time happenings and in playing cards. About 30 ladies were present.
Mrs. Frank Haderlein, a daughter-in-law, baked a birthday cake and placed 60 candles on it.
Mr. Haderlein who returned Sunday from St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where he was a patient the past three months, apparently enjoyed the birthday party as much as the honored guest and the ladies.
Mr. and Mrs. Haderlein have lived in Milan since their marriage about 28 years ago. They have four sons, three daughters and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Haderlein has been a faithful and active member of St. John’s church as well as the Guild since their organization in Milan.
