Sergeant Donald S. Sowieja, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome C. Sowieja, 114 N. Eaton
Avenue, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), has been selected for academic and Military
training under the U.S. Air Force Airman Education and Commissioning Program.
Sergeant Sowieja, who recently served at Minot AFB, North Dakota, as a nuclear
weapons specialist, will enter the University of Nebraska to study for a
Bachelor's degree. Following graduation, he will go to Officer Training School (OTS)
at Lackland AFB, Texas.
The sergeant will be commissioned an Air Force Second Lieutenant upon completion
of OTS, which is part of the vast Air Training Command education system.
The 1967 graduate of Greenwood Community High School, he attended the University
of Wisconsin at Platteville and Minot, North Dakota, State College.
The sergeant's wife if the former Nancy A. Heasley.
