Dean, Nancy Lorraine (5 AUG 1972)

Mr. and Mrs. Terrence Carter were married August 5, 1972 at Granton (Clark Co.), Wisconsin.

Mrs. Carter is the former Miss Nancy Lorraine Dean, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seward L. Dean, route 1, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. Carter is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Carter Sr., Neillsville.

Their marriage vows were repeated at 2 p.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, with the Rev. James Wuebben of La Crosse officiating.

The Zepaltas sisters sand and Tom Zepaltas played the organ.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride approached the altar in a gown of white organza over taffeta in empire styled, highlighted by a cathedral length mantilla veil held to a pillbox headpiece.

She carried an orchid centered bouquet surrounded with yellow and pink roses, lily of the valley and white gardenias, with white streamers caught by yellow and pink rosebuds.

Apricot organza and Dacron print gowns were worn by the bridal attendants, each of whom had a white lace fan with yellow and pink roses, white carnations, lily of the valley, and moss green streamers.

Miss Cathy Laufenberg, La Crosse, served as the maid of honor, and Mrs. Pat Carter, Neillsville, and Mrs. Susanne Dean, Des Moines, Iowa, were the bridesmaids.

The best man was Gary Beyer, Neillsville and the groomsmen were Kurt Dodge, LaPoint, and Ronald Dean, Des Moines, Iowa. Thomas Carter of Greenwood and Carl Carter Jr. were ushers.

A reception in the church parlor and the dance in the evening was held at the American Legion in Neillsville. The wedding party and guests were served a buffet supper in the evening at the parental Dean home.

A rehearsal dinner on Friday evening was held at the Village Plaza, Spencer, and was hosted by the bride's parents.

Both are 1971 graduates of Neillsville High School. He also attended District 1 Technical Institute in Eau Claire, and is now employed at Menard's Cashway Lumber in La Crosse. Mrs. Carter works for Iverson's Building Center in Dakota, Minnesota.

The couple is making their home at 3165 1/2 S. 29th Street, La Crosse.
