Warner, Donald David (8 JUL 1898 – 26 AUG 1972)
Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) was saddened by the unexpected death of Mayo Donald
David Warner, 74, who was a lifelong resident of the city of Greenwood. Don died
of an apparent heart attack Saturday afternoon at his home.
Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at Our Savior's
Lutheran Church in Greenwood. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The
Rev. David Wenger will officiate. Pallbearers will be Gordon Jackson, Einar
Jackson, Arnold Jackson, Harold Jackson, Lee Jackson and Everett Ellingson.
Mr. Warner ws born July 7, 1898 in Greenwood. He had been a mail carrier on the
Greenwood route for many years, until retirement, when he became custodian of
Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and a member of the Masonic
Lodge.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Norma) Telford, Eau Claire,
and Mrs. Thomas (Ann) Larson, San Antonio, Texas; a son, Harold (Dick) Warner,
Chetek; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth; a brother, Harold, and two
sisters, Hazel Flatz and Bessie Hall.
