Jerry Salter is spending the weekend in the Black Creek area visiting at the
home of his sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Bruecker and other friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Salter left Friday for Mt. Prospect, Illinois, where they
will be visiting Mr. and Mrs. William Ihlenfeld. On Saturday they all went to
Madison to the funeral of an uncle, Ray Salter. They returned to their home on
Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Allar and Gene, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Palmerton and daughter
Tami, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Williams and family, Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald
Allar and son Gerald Jr., Milwaukee, were Labor Day campers at Thayer's Lazy
Acres Campground, Hixton.
Pvt. Richard Steinwagner arrived at his home Friday morning for a fifteen day
furlough. Steinwagner has just completed his basic training at Fort Jackson,
South Carolina. After his leave, he will return to his advanced training in
Armour Field at Fort Carson, Colorado.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Steinwagner and son Russell drove their son Robert to
Milwaukee, where he is going to be a senior at Concordia College High School.
While there they spent the weekend visiting at the home of Mrs. Steinwagner's
brother, Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Steinwagner of Franksville, Wisconsin.
