Nelson, Clara (19 SEP 1887 – 26 AUG 1972)

Funeral services were held for a longtime Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) resident, Mrs. Clara Nelson, on Tuesday, August 29th, 1972.

The rites for Mrs. Nelson were held at Trinity Lutheran Church at Loyal, where Mrs. Nelson was a member.

Pastor William Humlie conducted the service.

Clara Hardrath was born to Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hardrath on September 19, 1887 in the township of Green Grove (Clark Co.). She attended school in Beaver Township. On August 21, 1906 She was united in marriage to William Nelson. Mr. Nelson preceded her in death. To this union were born four daughters and two sons.. Three of her daughters survive her. They are Mrs. Raymond (Veryl) Grosnick, Manitowoc; Mrs. Stanley (Iva) Stevens, Loyal, and Mrs. Walter (Sylvia) Pieper, Marshfield.

She is also survived by sister, Mrs. Elwood Fischer, Owen, and a brother, Louis Hardrath, also of Owen. Four brothers and s sister preceded her in death.

Serving as pallbearers were Gary Scheel, Russel Johnson, Lester and Glenn Bloom, Wilfred Loerther and Jim Hallowell.

Mrs. Erwin and Mrs. Verland Dux sand, accompanied by Mrs. Kenneth Voss at the organ.

Mrs. Nelson was a resident of the Bethel Convalescent Home in Arpin at the time of her death on August 26, 1972. She was laid to rest in Beaver Cemetery.
