Johnson, Kay C. (9 SEP 1972)
Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, was the setting Saturday, September 9, 1972 for
the wedding of Miss Kay C. Johnson, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), to Everett J.
Stone, son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Stone Sr., Marshfield.
Pastor Wm. Humlie officiated at the 3:30 wedding service, during which Miss
Johnson was given in marriage by her father. Mrs. Gladys Olsen was the organist
for the processional and the recessional. The Zepaltas Sisters, accompanied by
Tom Zepaltas, sang several selections during the service.
For her wedding the bride chose a floor length Empire styled bridal gown of
dulcet satin in ivory, featuring bishop sleeves, and a high neckline Chantilly
lace embellished the "A" line silhouette, highlighted by a sweeping chapel
train. Her bouffant veil of sheer bridal illusion was secured by a lace Camelot.
Her bouquet was made up of miniature green carnations, daisies and baby's
breath.
Green brocade and chiffon empire styled gowns were worn by the bridal aides,
Miss Pam Hendricks, Oconto Falls, maid of honor; Mrs. Daine Huberty, Madison;
Miss Toni Merkel, Wis. Rapids; and Mrs. Gerry Schmidt, Loyal. Each carried a
green wicker umbrella filled with yellow daisies.
The groom[s party consisted of Bret Carpenter, Marshfield, best man; Keith
Johnson, Loyal; Guy carpenter, Marshfield, and Kenny Schmidt, Loyal served as
groomsmen.
Jim Huberty and Verlyn Randt shared ushering duties.
Following the wedding ceremony, dinner was served in the Church Fellowship Hall.
A reception and wedding dance were held at the Bali Hai Supper Club.
Mrs. Stone is a 1969 graduate of Loyal High School, and a 1972 graduate of St.
Joseph's School of Radiologic Technology. She is presently employed as a
Radiologic Technologist at the Colby Clinic, Colby.
Mr. Stone graduated from Senior High School, Marshfield, in 1969, and from
Trans-American School of Broadcasting in 1971. He is presently employed as a
radio announcer at WDLB in Marshfield.
Following a wedding trip to Mackinac Island, they will make their home at 617
Laurel Court, Marshfield.
