Frederickson, Theone K. (15 OCT 1919 – 22 MAY 2017)

Theone K. Frederickson, age 97, of Owen, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017 at the Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center in Owen. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee. Inurnment to follow at the church cemetery. Rev. Brian Campbell will officiate. Family and friends are welcome from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church.

Theone was born on October 15, 1919, the daughter of Charles and Bonnie (Crees) Stanley. She was united in marriage to Dale Frederickson on December 31, 1938 in Newell, IA. Together they farmed in rural Owen. He preceded her in death in 1965.

Theone was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee for 56 years. She wrote a journal of her life stories, made scrapbooks, and saved every card and note. Theone made many crafts, loved going to garage sales, was a very good cook and baker and had a million old sayings. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and had a soft lap for holding her grandbabies. The last two years she was a resident at Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center.

Theone is survived by her seven children: Donna Syndergaard-Underwood of IA, Dale "Randy" Frederickson of Owen, Bonnie Stern of Storm Lake, IA, Kurt (Sandi) Frederickson of Marshfield, Gayle Bredlau of North Liberty, IA, Kim L. (Marilyn) Frederickson of Owen and Jeffrey (Ruth) Frederickson of Storm Lake, IA; 32 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dale; two children: Kathleen Rust in 1997 and Rodney Frederickson in 2016; six brothers and sisters: Wyvonne, William, Charles, James, Naomi and Nadine; two grandsons, one great-grandson, four sons-in-law and one daughter-in-law.
