Carl, Kenneth A. (12 May 1949 – 11 May 2017) With Flag
Kenneth A. Carl, 67, died Thursday, May 11, 2017, at the William S. Middleton VA
Hospital in Madison.
Kenneth was born May 12, 1949, in Neillsville, the oldest son of Arnold and
Florence (Zimmerman) Carl. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and
Neillsville High School, graduating in 1967.
Kenneth attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, graduating with a
Bachelor’s degree in Business. He then enlisted in the Army and was stationed at
Fort McClellan, ALK. He received his formal in-service training as a medical
corpsman-operating room procedure. After Ken’s honorable discharge, he moved to
Lake Tahoe where he lived for 30 years. Golf was Ken’s lifetime passion and he
worked as a Greenskeeper, and pursued his passion as an avid golf player. Ken
returned to Neillsville in 2001, and lived there until his death.
Ken is survived by his sisters, Kathryn (Quentin) Hagen, and Bonnie Carl; one
brother, Randy (Dawn Johnson) Carl; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronnie Carl.
No visitation or funeral services will be held. The family will hold a private
graveside service.
