Larson, Kay (5 OCT 1972)
In a beautiful afternoon outdoor ceremony on October 5, 1972, Miss Kay Larson,
Eau Claire, became the bride of Mr. Carl Okanak of Stanley. The ceremony took
place at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard C.
Larson, Peoria, Illinois.
Performing the ceremony was the Rev. Wesley Bennett, pastor of the Peoria Free
Methodist Church. A reception followed.
Miss Larson was given in marriage by her brother, R.C. Larson.
The couple's parents are Mrs. R.E. Larson, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), and the late
R.E. Larson, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Okanak, Chicago.
The bride was seen in an off white bonded street length dress. Her corsage was
bronze and yellow and white mums.
Her matron of honor, Mrs. Bess Vassey, Eau Claire, was attired in a clue coat
dress, with her flower similar the bride's.
Glen R. Bennett, Loyal, nephew of the bride, served as best man.
Presenting the rings was Miss Christine Marie Orns, great-niece of the bride.
Mrs. Okanak is a graduate of Loyal High School and is employed as an L.P.N. at
Mt. Washington Sanitarium, Eau Claire.
Mr. Okanak is a cabinet maker and a 12 year service veteran.
The couple will make their home at Bluff Crest Court, Eau Claire.
