Bender, Marjean (30 SEP 1972)
Marjean Bender, Kenosha, became the bride of James Schlagenhaft at a 2 p.m.
ceremony on September 30, 1972. The ceremony was performed by Norbert E. King at
St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. The adult choir sang
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Bender, Spencer, and Mrs. Dawn
Hansen, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.).
The bride was attired in a floor length gown with a bodice of hand pearled
Chantilly lace, satin skirt, with a full mantilla veil. She carried yellow
roses, white mums, and baby's breath.
Attending the bride were Mrs. Ronald Domine, as matron of honor, with Miss
Cheryl Schlagenhaft and Miss Bonnie Langfeldt as bridesmaids. Their gowns were
gold velvet and chiffon, with matching velvet hats. Their flowers were gold and
bronze pompons and mums.
Attending the groom were Ronald Domine, Bob Domine, and Dennis Bender.
Ushers were Jim Sharp and Mark Schlagenhaft.
Miniature bride and groom were Shelby Domine and Buddy Hanson.
Following the ceremony, a reception, dinner and dance were held at the Village
Plaza, Spencer.
Mr. and Mrs. Schlagenhaft are Loyal High School graduates in 1966 and 1968,
respectively. Mrs. Schlagenhaft graduated from Kenosha Technical Institute in
1970.
Mr. Schlagenhaft is employed in construction work at Kenosha and Mrs.
Schlagenhaft is a court reporter in Racine and Walworth Counties.
