Vaughan, Clinton Luther (28 AUG 1936 – 30 MAY 2017)
Clinton Luther Vaughan, age 80, of Spencer died on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at
Three Oaks Nursing Home in Marshfield.
Funeral services for Clinton will be at St. John's Lutheran Church B3750 Hwy. 13
Spencer, on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rebekah Tarras
officiating. Burial will take place at the Town of Grant Cemetery, Clark County.
Military rites will be conducted following the service. Visitation for family
and friends will be held on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service
at the church.
Clinton Luther Vaughan was born August 28th, 1936. From 1954-1958 he served in
the Navy and then worked construction from 1959-1970. During this time he met
and married his wife, Dianne Elmhorst, October 24th, 1959. In 1971 they moved
with their 4 children to Spencer, WI to begin farming; they retired in 2010.
Clint was a long term member of the Unity Legion Post 358 as treasurer. He
enjoyed making pancakes at the legion breakfast, hunting with his sons and
grandsons, and making occasional trips to the casino with his wife.
His growing family consisted of 4 children, 13 grandchildren and 16
great-grandchildren. Wade and Liz Vaughan; Nick Vaughan and Lindsey Vaughan.
Shane Vaughan; Curtis and Alicia Vaughan, Sadie Vaughan and Preston Knipple.
Trudy and Jeff Schumacher; Ryan Schumacher, Dawn Schumacher, Jenny and Rick
Woodkey (2 children). Wayne and Nancy Vaughan; Adam and Courtney Vaughan (4
children), Derek and Emily Vaughan (1 child) Luke and Shannon Zschernitz (3
children), Jake and Candy Zschernitz (2 children), Stacy and Tyson Smith (2
children), and Ashley Vaughan and Barry Peterson (2 children).
He was preceded in death by his parents one brother, Frank Vaughan, and three
sisters, Bertha Ernst, Beverly Mykel, and Lois McKay.
