Beverly Stanton was organist and Eugene Yerke, soloist, for the wedding ceremony
of the former Miss Diane Mae Kempf, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon A. Kempf,
route 2, Arpin, and Richard Bernard Ellenbecker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard
Ellenbecker, Unity (Clark Co., Wis.).
The wedding ceremony took place October 14, 1972, at 2:30 p.m., with the Rev.
Richard J. Muehl officiated, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Auburndale. The
bride was given in marriage by her father, Vernon Kempf.
For the occasion the bride wore a white satin organza and lace gown with a
chapel train and a nylon illusion veil flowing from a rose petal headpiece. She
carried a cascade of pink sweetheart roses and huge and miniature carnations.
The bridal aides carried a fall basket containing cattails, wheat, carnations
and chrysanthemums.
Miss Carol Kremer, Arpin, was the maid of honor. Miss Carmel Ellenbecker, Unity,
and Miss Katherine Kempf, Arpin, bridesmaids, and Debra DeSloover, Arpin, junior
bridesmaid. The maid of honor's attire included a white chiffon bodice and hot
pink skirt. The bridesmaids attire included whit chiffon bodices and aqua
skirts.
Susan Ellenbecker was a flower girl and Donavan Kempf was the ring bearer.
The wedding entourage also include Ervin Ellenbecker, Unity, best man; Dennis
Kempf, Arpin, and Barry Ellenbecker, Unity, Groomsmen, and Lionel Kempf and
Patrick Ellenbecker, ushers.
The wedding supper was served at 4:30 p.m. in the church basement. Our Place II
at Blenker was the setting for both the reception from 7 to 8 p.m., and the
dance from 9 to 1 p.m. Mrs. Ellenbecker is a 1971 graduate from the Auburndale
High School and has been working for Jelco Buses of Marshfield.
Her husband is a 1966 graduate of the Colby High School and is employed in the
particle board division of Weyerhaeuser Company, Marshfield. Following their
honeymoon trip to Colorado and North and South Dakota, the newlyweds are going
to be making their home at 100 N. Vine Ave., Marshfield.
