Loughead, Tom E. (8 MAY 1931 – 29 May 2017)
Tom Ernest Loughead, 86, Two Rivers, formerly of Unity, died on Monday, May 29,
2017, at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. Funeral services were held at 11
a.m., on Saturday, June 3, at Calvary Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Officiating
at the service were Rev. Robert Sullivan and Rev. Vicki Fink. Cremation took
place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, following the services. Tom’s
cremated remains were laid to rest at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of
Kossuth.
Tom was born on May 8, 1931, in Unity, the son of Thomas and Gladys (nee Messer)
Loughead. On Sept. 1, 1956, he married Janet Graves in Unity. Tom was an active
member in Calvary Lutheran Church. He sang in the church choir and participated
in other various church groups. Tom enjoyed the beautiful garden he and Jan
created with every season’s flowers. He also enjoyed collecting and trying
recipes from different cultures and was an avid woodworker. He was a veteran of
the Korean War.
He is survived by his six children: Tom and Flory Loughead of Florida, Gwen
(Loughead) Fiecko and Paul Pendergast of St. Nazianz, Fritz Loughead and Renee
Kroll of Two Rivers, Raymond Loughead of Aromas, Calif., Allen and Betsy
(Galbraith) Loughead of Mishicot, and Janalee (Loughead) Busick and Mike Busick
of De Pere; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother and
sister-in-law: Jerry and Nancy Loughead of Parksville, British Columbia; one
sister and brother-in-law: Ellen (Loughead) and Paul Van Zandt of Leesburg,
Fla.; and two sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law: Sue (Graves) Sautner of
Spencer, Patricia (Graves) and Ken Graupner of Beaver Dam, Eldon Bechler of
Three Forks, Mont., and Fritz and Jane Graves of Ham Lake, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Janet; an infant son, Kenneth
Raymond; his parents, Tom and Gladys Loughead; his mother- and father-in-law,
Ken and Bernice Graves; one sister, RaeAnn (Loughead) Bechler; three
brothers-in-law: James Sautner, Spencer Graves, and Michael Graves; and one
sister-in-law, Jean Graves.

Manitowoc, assisted the family with arrangements.

the staffs of Northland Lodge, Two Rivers Aurora emergency and Aurora third
floor nursing staff for their kindness, care, and compassion they gave to Tom.
