Mark W. Olsen, 80, of Neillsville passed away May 26, 2017, at home following complications of heart and kidney failure. He was born Sept. 26, 1936, to Marcus B. And Audrey (Keefe) Olsen of Maple Park, IL.

He is survived by his longtime best friend and partner, Jackie Crone, and his children, Dan of Chicago, IL, Diane Barnhart of Rockford, IL, Darlene Oberheim of Maricopa, AZ, and Rocky (wife Lisa) of Lublin, WI. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tracie Barnhart-Scott, Tosha Barnhart, Andrea Oberheim, Raquel Olsen, Preston Olsen, Hailey Olsen, Clayton Olsen; three great-grandchildren; his siblings, Patricia (Al Homan), Nancy (Dick Starck), Caryl (Jerry Schrader), Bill Olsen (Sue), and Mel (Fred Needham). He also leaves numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by siblings, A. Richard Olsen, Dorthy McAdams, and T. Michael Olsen.

Like his father before him, and his son Rocky, Mark’s passion was that of a self-employed livestock dealer. He was well known to the local farmers and livestock auction barns, both in his younger years in Illinois, and later in Wisconsin.

A memorial family gathering will be held at a later date in Illinois.

The family would like to thank Ministry St. Joseph’s Home Care Hospice.

Memorials can be made to Ministry Home Care Hospice, in care of The Foundation of Saint Joseph’s Hospital. Cards may be sent to the Rocky Olsen family, N588 8½ Ave., Lublin, WI 54447.

Online condolences may be made at www.geschefh.com.  The Gesche Funeral Home is assisting Mark’s family with funeral arrangements.
