King, Theresa (10 MAR 1881 – 28 NOV 1972)
Theresa King, 91, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), died at 5:00 p.m. on November 28,
1972, at the Marshfield Convalescent Home.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 1, 1972 at St.
Anthony's Catholic Church, with burial taking place at St. John's Cemetery,
Edgar, Wis. The Rev. Norber King officiated at the burial mass, with Rev. Jerome
Hoeser, Wausau; Rev. Michael McKenna, Chippewa Falls; Rev. Carl Wohlmuth,
Rozellville, and Rev. Donald Berg, Milladore, as co-celebrants. The Rev. Andrew
Bofenkamp, Spencer, delivered the homily.
Pallbearers, all grandsons, were Alex King, James King, Ronald Schlichte, Donald
Schlichte, Paul Zenner, and John Arndt.
The former Theresa Lindenmeyer was born in Chicago, Ill. on March 10, 1881. She
was married on November 5, 1901, to Conrad King Sr., who preceded her in death.
She lived in Edgar for some 50 years before coming to Loyal, where she lived for
23 years.
She was a member of St. John's Altar Society, Edgar, and St. Mary's Altar
Society, Loyal
A general rosary was held at 8:30 p.m., Thursday, with a P.C.C.W. Rosary at 3
p.m., and a K.C. Rosary at 8:00 p.m.
Theresa King was preceded in death by her husband in 1953, and four children.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Frank (Cecilia) Schlichte, Wis. Rapids;
Mrs. Marcelle Richardson, Milwaukee; Mr.s Bernard (Cornelia) Zenner, Elroy,
Wis.; Mrs. Marvin (Clara) Arndt, Schofield; and Miss Betty King, Loyal; four
sons, George, Edgar; Father Norbert King, Loyal; Conrad, Rothschild; and
Clarence, Madison; 31 grandchildren; 40 great0grandchildren, and one sister,
Mrs. Mary Kurtzewell, Edgar.
