Phil Floyd of Loyal visited at the Henry Kurz home Tuesday.
Jim Van Wychen, 4-H Agent and an insurance man from Lynn Mutual showed a film on
Seeds of Safety, and slides on different types of fires, at the Sherman Town
Hall, to Y-Knot 4-H Club on Tuesday evening. Some of the club members put on
demonstrations and short talks during a meeting, and games and lunch which
followed.
Wednesday through Monday morning Mrs. Joe Bymers was an unexpected patient at
St. Joseph's Hospital at with the flu and then surgery.
Ray Metcalfe is down with the flue bug.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Metcalfe and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Shortess were Thursday evening
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Voelker of Marshfield. The Voelkers had recently
returned from Florida. They went with Mr. and Mrs. Neland Wills of Spencer.
Mr. and Mrs. Ted Metcalfe and Terri of Marshfield spent Saturday night with Mr.
and Mrs. Ray Metcalfe.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell and son have moved into the new trailer home on Y, next to
the Sherman Town Hall. They came from Spencer.
The Kurz boys did farm chores for Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Litka and son while they
visited their daughter in southern Wisconsin over the recent holiday.
