Delbert and Alma Denzine will celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary on June
6, 2017.
Delbert and Alma Denzine exchanged vows on June 6, 1942, at St. John’s Lutheran
Church in the town of Frankfort. Members of the bridal party were LaVerne (Hoernke)
Bornoski, maid of honor; Elfrieda (Theilig) Hoernke and Tillie (Stendel) Hoernke,
bridesmaids; Leon Denzine, best man; Harold Hoernke and Arnold Hoernke,
groomsmen.
Guests were entertained at a reception at the bride’s parent’s home, In the
evening, the event was celebrated with a dance at the Prochnow pavilion.
The couple resided in Milan. Delbert was employed by the cheese factory. Three
years later, they purchased a farm in the Milan area. After 37 years of farming,
they retired and moved to their new house in Milan.
The Denzines have three children: Patricia (Karl) Fischer, Lake Havasu, AZ;
Lynette Calmes, Wisconsin Rapids; and Brad (Sandra) Denzine. They also have
eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
This past March, Delbert and Alma moved to The Waterford at Colby.
