Reynolds Hill Dickinson, who accidentally shot himself to death while cleaning
his gun in 1897, was a member of “Earl Rifles” group.
He was taken prisoner at Lexington and later paroled and discharged, but he
reenlisted twice more before the war ended.
Moving to the town of Hull in 1883, he was described as “a quiet, honest and
respected citizen.”
