Frank Jarvis, a native of Canada, who served for four years in the 2nd Wisconsin
Cavalry, met his end when he was hit by a train on November 21, 1900.
“Mr. Jarvis was a kindly, genial gentleman, strictly honest in all his dealings,
was highly respected by his acquaintances, and his sudden death is deeply
deplored by all, and his sorrowing family have the sympathy of the entire
community,” his obituary reads.
