Boyce August Wilms, born in Germany and married to an Irish immigrant, served in
the 21st Regiment of the Wisconsin volunteer Infantry.
He was a druggist and barber in Colby until his death in 1920 at the age of 86.
He also made and sold electric Magnetic, a tonic regarded as “snake oil.”
