Cieslik, Frank Sr. (28 JUN 1888 – 22 APR 1968)
A requiem mass was said at 10 o'clock this morning at St. Hedwig's Chapel,
Thorp, for Frank Cieslik Sr., who passed away Monday at Victory Memorial
Hospital at Stanley. Death was attributed to complications of old age. He was 79
years, 9 months and 23 days of age.
Father Ed Maslowski officiated at the mass, with interment being made in St.
Hedwig's Cemetery, Thorp.
Pallbearers were Calvin Pawlak, Stave Pawlak Jr., Philip Cieslik, Robert Cieslik
and Malen Konieczny.
Mr. Cieslik was born June 28, 1888 in Austria. On September 16, 1912, he and the
former Anna Rztelney were united in marriage at Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) The
couple moved to Gilman, where they resided until 1921, when they purchased a
farm in the Town of Longwood (Clark Co.), where they have since made their home.
His passing is mourned by his wife; a son, Frank Jr., Owen; two brothers,
Michael Cieslik, Berwyn, Ill., and Henry Cieslik, Thorp; a grandson, Richard
Cieslik, Austin, Texas, and a granddaughter, Patricia Cieslik of Eau Claire.
