Mrs. A.A. Stewart returned home Wednesday evening from Bangor, Michigan, where
she had been visiting the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Marlon Scharf and family for two weeks, and getting acquainted with her new
granddaughter, Melissa Ann, who was born to the Scharf's on April 4, 1968. They
also have another daughter, Lynette. Mrs. Scharf will be remembered as the
former Ramona Stewart.
Mr. and Mrs. John Jalling visited his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
James Hansen, in Minneapolis on Thursday.
Kathy and Clarence Jackson of Stratford spent the weekend at the home of their
grandmother, Mrs. Adelle Jackson.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Christensen spent the weekend in Hutchinson, Minnesota.
Elmer Zarns and Don Cwikla were the two young men from this area who were
inducted into the armed services for April.
Mr. David Tang, a junior at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and who home
is in Singapore, China, came home with Christine and Jens Beck to spend Easter
at the Chris Beck home. Mr. Tang returned to his studies at Madison on
Wednesday.
Tuesday evening supper guests at the Karen Nielsen home were Mr. and Mrs. Chris
Beck, Allen, Christine and Jens, and David Tang.
Mrs. Robert Lietzau and three sons returned to their home in Milwaukee, after
spending several days at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Capes.
Sunday guests at the Richard Rabska home were Mr. and Mrs. Toivo Nevala of Thorp
and Mrs. Howard Rabska.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Johnson and son of Aurora, Ill. spent Easter at the home of
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Uno Bakke.
