Gordon, Orville (22 FEB 1889 – 18 MAY 1968)
Services were held at the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood at 2 o'clock Tuesday,
May 21, 1968, for Orville J. Gordon, 79, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), a former
resident of route 2, Withee (Clark Co.), who died at 1:20 a.m. Saturday at St.
Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, several hours after admission.
The Rev. David Logue, pastor of Immanuel and Zion United Churches of Christ,
officiated. Burial with military rites was made at Loyal.
Mr. Gordon was born in rural Loyal February 22, 1889, and had lived in the
Loyal-Greenwood-Withee area all of his life. He never married.
He was a veteran of World War I, and had followed the occupation of carpenter
and farm laborer.
His only survivors are nieces and nephews.
