The Byrl Rowe family spent the past weekend visiting relatives in Milwaukee and
seeing their daughter Nancy.
Mr. and Mrs. Loraine Fritz attended graduation exercises on Sunday at WSU,
Stevens Point, at which time their daughter, Donna Mae Schultz, graduated from
the Department of Home Economics. Also graduating was her husband, LeRoy
Schultz, of Curtiss.
Mr. and Mrs. David Bennett of Curtiss moved into the Donald Poppe home in Withee
this past week, having purchased it as the Poppe's intend to build a new home.
Visiting this week at the Toivo Kallio home is Kent Dallmeyer of Washington,
Iowa, a roommate of John Kallio, both of whom are students at Cornell College,
Mt. Vernon, Iowa.
Weekend guests at the Einar Laakso home were Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Granquist and
daughters, Kim, Debra and Julie, of Fremont.
Over the weekend of the 25th Mr. and Mrs. Einar Laakso and Mr. and Mrs. Emil
Potocnik visited in Bruce Crossing, Michigan with Mr. and Mrs. Emil Makinen.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Missling visited at the home of their son and family, Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Missling over Memorial Day weekend, and also visited Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Miller of Carter.
Al Missling returned from a trip to San Antonio, Texas, where he visited his
sister and family, Capt. And Mrs. Thomas George.
Thursday, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Svenson attended the outdoor Art Sale on the campus
of Eau Claire University, where over 500 articles were on display, including
stoneware, ceramics, jewelry, oil, pastel, acrylic and water color paintings,
metal and wood cuts. They also viewed the students' art show in the Skylite
Gallery.
Susanne Svenson, a junior, and Sharon Graham, a freshman, were selected to show
drawings and paintings in the annual Art Show in the Skylite Gallery of WSU,
which was held last week.
The Milton Laabs family moved a week ago Monday to Shawano, where Mr. Laabs is
now employed.
Bob Conzemius, was entered in the State Track Meet at Monona Grove last Friday.
On Saturday he was met by Terry Woodbeck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orland Woodbeck,
and the two left for Sandusky, Ohio, where the two will spend the summer as
stage coach drivers at Cedar Point Recreational Area, on Lake Erie. They will be
working for Chap Paulson and Don Marg of Neillsville.
