Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Gosse entertained relatives and friends at a family dinner at their home on Sunday, June 2, in honor of the confirmation of their son Michael. Guests included the grandparents and Rev. and Mrs. Arthur Raasch.

Mr. and Mrs. Morris Thieme of Phillips called on old friends here last weekend.

Mr. and Mrs. Cornel Erickson, Mrs. Martha Harmel, Mrs. F.H. Matthias, Mrs. E.M. Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Peterson and daughters visited Mrs. Anna C. Peterson at the Family Heritage Home at Wisconsin Rapids on Friday.

The town of Hoard Farmers Union Local Board met on Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cornel Erickson.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schultz Sr. and Brian, and Mrs. Albert Schultz Jr. attended the graduation Sunday, June 2, at WSU, Steven Point, of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Schultz. They each received their Bachelor of Science degree in the college of education. LeRoy will continue his education at the Michigan College of Mining and Technology at Houghton, Michigan. His wife Donna has accepted a position as a Home Economics instructor at Hancock, Michigan.

Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Schiszik and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Johnson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Kraut, Donald Kraut, Mrs. Albert Schultz Jr., Mrs. Albert Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Poeske, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Poeske of Wausau, and Mrs. June Olson of Chicago were among the guests who helped Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kind, former Curtiss residents, to celebrate their 50th wedding celebration at Greenwood last Saturday.
