May, Herman (17 FEB 1850 – 27 APR 1919)
Herman May died at his home on North Grand Ave. on April 27th at the age of 69
years, 2 months and 10 days. He was born in Germany and was united in marriage
to Wilhelmina Porath in 1876. They came to this country in 1883, locating at
Milwaukee. Soon after they came to Neillsville and made their home. Deceased
engaged in farming and was a highly respected gentleman. He is survived by his
wife and five children. The children are Paul May of Milwaukee; Otto May of
Neillsville; Mrs. John Moen of Neillsville; Mrs. S.A. Marden and Mary May of
Centralia, Wash. The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon, services being
conducted by Rev. Brandt at the Lutheran Church.
