Pleasant Ridge (8 May 1919)
The Ladies Aid will meet with Mrs. Jim King for supper May 14. All are invited
to attend.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Vine attended the raising at Otto Lautenbach’s last Wednesday.
Miss Roder will give an entertainment and a pie social next Friday night at the
Reed school house.
Clifford Blackman and Miss Nina Selves were united in marriage last Monday,
April 28. The Ridge people join in wishing them joy and prosperity.
Mrs. Jim King helped Mrs. Geo. Vine paper two days last week.
There was a birthday party at the James Hughes home last Friday night in honor
of Mrs. Hughes.
The Arlo Huckstead family is preparing to move back on their farm on the Ridge.
Clifford Selves has been quite sick for the past week.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim King spent Sunday at Neillsville with the Peter Brown family.
Miss Lydia King and Miss Olive Hall entertained company from Dells Dam Sunday
afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hills called on Mr. and Mrs. Clarion Counsell Sunday
afternoon.
Charlie Hall took a load to young folks to Riverside to a dance Friday night.
Look out, boys, Charlie is going to take all the girls away from you.
