York Center (8 May 1919)
Last Thursday afternoon Clayton Turner was pressed against a wall by a horse and
had his face bruised.
Ray Mortimer is having the interior of his house finished.
Jennie, Violet and Dale Fulwiler spent Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Treska. Their daughter, Ella, left Tuesday for Chicago.
Lowell Davis, accompanied by his wife and mother of Chicago, spent the past week
with their son and brother, John Davis, and family.
Forest Rowe and family autoed to Neillsville last Sunday and spent the day at
the C.M. Campbell home.
Mrs. Fred Zwick was surprised at her home last Saturday afternoon by her Royal
Neighbor friends in honor of her birthday.
Merton Davis had an operation performed in the Marshfield hospital Friday
morning for appendicitis.
Verla Rowe spent Thursday afternoon with her cousin, Violet Fulwiler.
Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Mortimer autoed to Marshfield Sunday to see Merton Davis.
Mr. and Mrs. Milt Snyder were Greenwood visitors the first of the week.
Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Rowe were over from Harris Spur Sunday and called on the
former’s mother.
Mrs. Joe Frei made a trip to Neillsville Monday with her daughter, Emilie, who
is attending high school.
