Granton (15 May 1919)

Miss Ruth Huntzicker, teacher of the 3rd and 4th grades, has accepted a position in Ravena, S.D., consolidated schools for next year with an increase in wages over what is offered her here.

Harry Cole, one of our boys recently home from overseas, is so thin we did not know him. Harry has a hospital record for wounds received in action and since his return to the States in making his home with relatives in the Alfred Schnabel family.

Percy Quinnell is here from Neillsville since early this week keeping bachelor’s hall on the H.H. Eberhardt farm where he is engaged with putting in the crops. Percy is one of our boys home from overseas and with decidedly impaired hearing.

Mrs. Geo. Wilson was called to Algoma, Iowa, last week Thursday by the serious illness of her mother, Mrs. John Erickson, who passed away last Sunday morning. Mrs. Wilson remained for the funeral and arrived home here after Thursday morning.
