West Eaton (15 May 1919)
Carl Davey is working for Lou Dimler this week.
The Joe Susa, Jr., family are all sick with the flu.
H. Bostwick hauled cheese for the West Eaton cheese factory Monday.
Mrs. F. Myre visited with Mrs. Davey Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Bahl and son, Victor, spent Sunday at Davey’s.
Mrs. Bahl called on Mrs. H. Bostwick Monday.
Gertrude Davey and John visited at Hugo Halle’s Sunday.
Miss Sophia was a caller at Bostwick’s Tuesday.
John Schmidt and the Borger family attended Sunday school at the chapel Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Murlak and daughter, Antonia, visited at Podobnik’s Sunday.
Mrs. Arch visited at Mrs. Vedrich’s Sunday afternoon. We are all glad to see
Mrs. Arch able to be around again.
Miss Sarah Cole gave a picnic for her school last Friday and a large crowd
attended and had a fine dinner. Miss Cole is one of the best teachers we have
had in our district for some time and well liked by her pupils, and we regret
that we cannot get her for next year.
Ben Stanley visited Geo. Gemmeke’s Sunday.
Mrs. Vedrich was a caller at Bostwick’s Sunday evening.
Mr. Gurgle has moved his saw mill to the Able neighborhood.
Henry Gemmeke and wife spent Sunday afternoon at John Able’s.
Mrs. Lakotick called at Podobnick’s Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Keefe spent Sunday evening at Geo. Gemmeke’s.
