Southeast Weston (15 May 1919)

Miss Bernice Irvine had a quilting party Friday. The quilt was sent to the Belgians.

Mr. and Mrs. John Marx and daughter, Helene, Mr. and Mrs. John Hartung and family spent Sunday at the home of John Marquardt.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zickert are quite sick and are under the care of a doctor.

Len Boone purchased a team of horses of Robert Jacob last week.

Mrs. Gust Sievert called at Zickert’s one evening last week.

Adam Conen and John Kotchy are driving their new Fords.

Gottlieb Auman left Monday for Milwaukee. He recently returned from France.

John Marquardt has installed a milking machine.

Ethan Phillips spent Sunday at home. He works for Frank Wilson.

Arthur Imig and family were out motoring Sunday.

Miss Fannie Appleyard has returned from a month’s visit at Milwaukee.

Capt. Watters has erected a device for driving fence posts and the way it puts them into the ground is not slow.

Mr. and Mrs. Will Roehl spent Sunday at Zickert’s.
