East Weston-West York (22 May 1919)
Mrs. Lew Shaw gave a shower for Miss Maggie Hauser Thursday evening. A good
crowd attended and everyone reports a fine time.
Mrs. Cinda Langford and two daughters of Silverton, Oregon, came Wednesday to
visit for some time at the Wm. Hannah home and with other relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Al. Braiser and family and Rudell Nutting of Loyal were guests at
the W.J. Armitage home Sunday.
Mrs. Chas. Hannah, her son, Wm., and family, and daughters, Mrs. John
Richardson, Sr., Mrs. Cinda Langford, Mrs. Geo. Barr, Mrs. Oscar Northup and
family spent Sunday at the Wm. Hurlburt home. It was the first opportunity for
some time for the sisters to all be together.
Mart Lastofka has built a shade house at Panther Creek and will try raising
evergreens.
Mr. Groves was a weekend visitor at the Wm. Hannah home.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Brown Friday, May 9, a girl, to be known as Miss
Leona.
Mrs. Wm. Lapp of Neillsville is caring for Mrs. Roscoe Brown.
School closed Monday in Forman district with a picnic. Miss Gerta Tiller
returned to her home in Eau Claire Wednesday.
