following a brief and brave battle with cancer.
She was born in Neillsville, WI, on October 13, 1943, to Ervin and Ermine Bandt.
She attended school in Marshfield, WI. She married Clayton Carter on January 6,
1962, in Marshfield, WI. Soon after, they moved to Minneapolis, MN, where

job transfer. They had homes in Fullerton, CA and Olinda, CA, before moving back
to Minnesota in 1977. Their next home was in Minnetonka, MN, where they remained
until Clayton's retirement from Graco. They pursued their golden years in Sunset
Beach, NC, beginning in 1999. During that time, Barbara enjoyed crossword
puzzles, redecorating their homes, building doll houses for the grandkids and
going on cruises with Clayton. She was a lover of animals, particularly her pets
over the years which brought her great joy.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brothers Marvin and
