Jim and Jayne Sauer, Medford, announce the engagement of their daughter, Tara Sauer, to Brian Abel, son of Scott and Darla Abel, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.).

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Medford Senior High. She received an associate’s degree from NTC in 2010, a bachelor’s degree in Early and Middle Childhood from UW-Stout in 2013, and a master’s degree in Reading from Concordia University in 2017. She is currently a 5th-grade teacher in Spencer.

Her fiancé is a 2003 graduate of Greenwood Senior High. He received a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from UW-Stevens Point in 2010, and is pursuing a master’s degree in Educational Technology from Marion University. He is currently a physical education teacher in Spencer.

An August, 2017, wedding is planned.
