Visiting at the Pete Devine home the past weekend were Burt Devine and sons,
Kurt, Jimmy and Dan of Menomonee Falls. Joining them on Friday evening were Mr.
and Mrs. Tom Devine and Paul of Bruce; Mr. and Mrs. Pat Devine and Brian and
Matthew of Eau Claire, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Devine of Withee.
Terry Woodbeck and Carol Veverka of Steubenville, Ohio, arrived here on the 9th,
following the closing of Terry's employment at Sandusky. Her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Veverka, now on a Wisconsin vacation, arrived here on Thursday and
visited the Woodbeck home. They enjoyed a trip Saturday to Minocqua to the Pal
Bunyan Camp, and also a visit with friends in Ladysmith.
The J.R. Barager family attended the funeral of Mrs. Barager's mother, Mrs. Emma
Wiles, in La Crosse on Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bergstrom visited in Owen Wednesday and Thursday at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Celand Melbinger, and on Friday drove to Wausau to assist their
son Douglas and wife in moving into their new home.
Mary Bulgrin returned July 12th from a month's vacation, which took her to
Amarillo, Texas, where she visited her son Lyle and family, then to Winslow,
Arizona, where she visited another son, Burdell and family, and then to Long
Beach, California, where she enjoyed a visit with Mrs. Herman Bulgrin and Mr.
and Mrs. Burdell Bulgrin.
Kerry Kelly, Rhinelander, has been staying and enjoying herself at the home of
Frank Gay and his family this week as a guest of Alicia. The preceding week,
Alicia went to Rhinelander to visit with Kerry and had a wonderful time. The two
met four summers ago at their United Church of Christ Camp, Moon Beach, near
Eagle River.
This week Harry Sillampa of Detroit, Michigan is visiting with his brother Carl
and family, as well as with other friends and relatives in the area. He will
return to his home on Monday.
Donald Kraut attended an Army reunion in New York the past week.
