Miller, Jennie M. (25 JUL 1889 – 25 JUL 1968)
Rev. H.L. Luetkehoelter officiated at the final rites conducted Sunday afternoon
from Nazareth Lutheran Church at Withee for Jennie M. Miller, 79. She passed
away July 25, 1968 at Luther Hospital at Eau Claire, after a long illness.
Interment was made at Nazareth Lutheran Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Jens and Armand Miller, Clarence, Bertel and Vernon
Miller, and Robert Hall.
The former Jennie Hilsteadt was born July 25, 1889, at Glenwood. She attended
teachers college at Menomonie and Eau Claire, and then taught school at
Frenchtown, west of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), until her marriage.
She was married June 26, 1918 at Eau Claire to Andrew Miller, who survives.
She was a charter member of the Nazareth Lutheran parish, where she was a
faithful Sunday school teacher for many years.
Other survivors are two sons, Edward, Withee' Tom, Waukegan, Ill.; three
sisters, Mrs. Rufus Hall, Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Earl Hall, Wyandotte, Michigan;
and Mrs. James Richards, Trenton, Michigan; a brother, B.E. Hilsteadt, Holcombe;
and eight grandchildren.
