Schallock, Alice Veronica (25 FEB 1938 – 27 JUN 2017)

Alice Veronica Schallock, 79 passed away on June 27, 2017 after a bold three-year battle with cancer.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a memorial service for Alice on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Gathering Center at Zion Lutheran Church, 2nd avenue, Stratford, at 11:00.

Alice was given the gift of life of February 25, 1938 and resided in Rozellville until her marriage to Arthur Schallock in 1961 when she moved to Stratford. She farmed for 27 years and then became an environmental services specialist a Marshfield Nursing Home for another 25 years. She reluctantly left the workforce at age 76 when medical needs sidelined her.

She leaves behind a husband, six loving children and nine awesome grandchildren, son in laws and daughter in laws.

Alice enjoyed polka dances, feeling the warm sun on her skin, pickle and cracker sandwiches, reconnecting with relatives, hugging her grandkids, and watching the cows graze in the pasture. Her generous nature, simple take on life and boundless energy will now be appreciated in heaven.

In lieu of flowers, cards with personal memories and notes to be enjoyed by the family are appreciated.
