Celebrate Independence Day (Highground – 4 July 2017)


Celebrate Independence Day at The Highground

An Independence Day ceremony will be held Tuesday, July 4, at 10 a.m. at The Highground Veterans Memorial Park in Neillsville. The program will feature speaker Capt. Edward H. Park from Fort McCoy (Company Commander of Headquarters Company), Color Guards from Reb River DAV #331 & VVA #479, bagpiper Gavin Teeter and singer Sydney Johnson. “Taps” will be performed by Jordan Watson.

Weather permitting, The Highground’s Big Maps of the Vietnam War, and the Persian Gulf (Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Afghanistan) will be displayed for Vietnam veterans, and Gold Star families to sign.
